A 20-year-old man is facing felony charges after allegedly striking a woman with his vehicle and fleeing the scene of a parking lot crash in Vallejo on July 4.
Authorities identified the driver as Alejandro Rodriguez-Zetina. According to police, the crash occurred at about 10:40 p.m. in a parking lot in the 400 block of Santa Clara Street, where Rodriguez-Zetina's vehicle struck the woman before he allegedly drove away from the scene. The victim, whose identity has not been released, was taken to a hospital and remains in critical condition. Rodriguez-Zetina was later located by police and taken into custody. He now faces charges of felony hit-and-run causing injury, reckless driving, and engaging in an exhibition of speed resulting in bodily injury.
