A rollover crash on the 215 Freeway killed a Moreno Valley woman early Sunday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Valerie Martinez, 24, was riding as a passenger in a northbound Mazda 3 traveling at a high rate of speed when the driver lost control shortly after 12:20 a.m. north of Ramona Expressway in Perris. The vehicle left the roadway, struck the median guardrail, and flipped onto its roof before coming to rest in the leftmost lane.

CHP investigators said alcohol was a contributing factor in the crash. The identity of the driver and whether charges have been filed have not been publicly disclosed.
