Authorities are investigating a fatal motorcycle collision that claimed the life of Alexander Michael Charmoli Thursday in San Diego.
Officials said the 18-year-old was riding on Interstate 805 near Eastgate Mall when his motorcycle collided with a sedan around 4:31 p.m.
Charmoli, a resident of Apache Junction, Arizona, was thrown from the motorcycle and sustained fatal injuries.
He was taken to Scripps Memorial Hospital in La Jolla, where he succumbed to his injuries.
No further details have been released as the investigation continues.
