
A 59-year-old man was killed early Thursday morning after his motorcycle collided with a pickup truck at an intersection in Chandler, authorities said.
Police reported that the crash occurred at the intersection of Gilbert and Germann roads, just south of the Loop 202 Santan Freeway. Officers responded to the scene at approximately 4:30 a.m. and administered emergency medical aid to the motorcyclist.
The rider, identified as Alfredo Valenzuela, was transported to a nearby hospital, where he later died from his injuries. The driver of the pickup truck remained at the scene and cooperated with officers.
The intersection was closed for several hours following the crash and reopened around 7 a.m. Chandler police said the cause of the collision remains under investigation.
