Authorities say a San Diego woman lost her life after a vehicle went off Interstate 15 on Thursday night in Fallbrook.
CHP reported that the victim, identified as 38-year-old Alyssha Karup-Joseph, was riding as a passenger when the vehicle left the freeway and tumbled down an embankment shortly before 10 p.m., north of State Route 76.
She was taken to Palomar Medical Center in Escondido and later died from her injuries. Investigators are working to determine what caused the crash.
