A 37-year-old woman died late Wednesday after being hit by a vehicle in Long Beach, officials said.
The crash happened around 10:25 p.m. at East Anaheim Street and Alamitos Avenue, where a westbound 1997 Chevrolet Sierra struck the pedestrian, identified as Amber Mitchell of Los Angeles County.
Police said the driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
