
One person was killed and multiple others were injured Wednesday night in a head-on crash on Route 27 in Woodbridge, according to the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office.
Authorities said a 2013 Hyundai Tucson collided head-on with a 2025 Nissan Altima driven by 22-year-old Amber Torres of Colonia near Deepa Auto Repair at about 10:36 a.m. Torres was taken to Hackensack Meridian Health JFK University Hospital, where she later died from her injuries.
A 21-year-old female passenger in the Nissan was severely injured and transported to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital for treatment. The 28-year-old male driver of the Hyundai also sustained serious injuries.
Officials said additional details were not immediately released as the investigation continues.
