Authorities are searching for a driver involved in a fatal hit-and-run that claimed the life of a pedestrian in Oakland.
Officials reported that Ambrose Hicks was walking in a marked crosswalk at East 12th Street and 22nd Avenue when he was hit by a vehicle around 5:55 p.m. Hicks suffered severe injuries and was transported to a hospital, where he later succumbed.
The driver fled immediately after the collision. Investigators are actively working to identify and locate the suspect as the case remains under investigation.
