Stockton police are investigating a fatal single-vehicle collision that occurred Sunday night on Navy Drive and resulted in multiple injuries.
Authorities said 33-year-old Andre Dieon Carter was driving with five passengers when his vehicle crashed at Navy Drive and Fresno Avenue at approximately 9 p.m. Carter was pronounced dead at the scene.
Five passengers, including a 14-year-old, were injured in the crash. Three were taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, and two others were treated for minor injuries at the scene.
The Stockton Police Department Traffic Unit continues to investigate what caused the crash. Navy Drive was shut down between Fresno Avenue and Tillie Lewis Drive following the incident.
