Police are investigating a fatal pedestrian crash that claimed the life of a Salinas man early Saturday.
Andres Ortiz Jacinto, 39, was struck by a vehicle near Airport Boulevard and Mercer Way at approximately 6 a.m. Emergency crews responded but he died at the scene.
Authorities have not released details on how the crash occurred. The case remains under investigation.
