Authorities are investigating a fatal scooter crash that claimed the life of a 13-year-old boy Friday in Pomona.
Police said Angel Roman Mendoza Lopez was riding an electric scooter along San Antonio Avenue when he was struck by a vehicle.
Lopez sustained critical injuries and was taken to a hospital, where he later succumbed. Officials said the driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
A GoFundMe has been established by the family to assist with funeral costs. The investigation remains ongoing.
