A fatal late-night crash near Cotati resulted in the arrest of a Petaluma woman after her passenger was killed, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Investigators said Angel Torres, 23, was driving an SUV along Stony Point Road when the vehicle crashed into a tree. The male passenger died from his injuries, and his identity has not yet been released.
Torres was transported to a hospital, where officers concluded she had been driving under the influence of alcohol. She was arrested on suspicion of DUI and faces multiple charges.
