Authorities have arrested a 45-year-old Concord woman in connection with a fatal hit-and-run crash that claimed the life of a bicyclist in Pleasant Hill early Sunday.

Police said Angelina Solis allegedly struck a 41-year-old female cyclist shortly before 1:50 a.m. at the intersection of Contra Costa and Taylor boulevards.

The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene. Officials said the driver left the area immediately after the crash.

During the investigation, officers identified the vehicle involved as a dark-colored Mazda SUV. The vehicle was later found parked in Concord, and Solis was taken into custody.

She was booked on suspicion of felony hit-and-run and vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated. Authorities continue to investigate the incident.
