
Fort Worth police have arrested a teenage driver following a deadly wrong-way crash on Interstate 35W that claimed two lives early Saturday.
Police said Axel Perez, 18, was operating a vehicle in the wrong direction on I-35W when it collided with a northbound vehicle near Garden Acres Drive shortly after 2 a.m. The occupants of the northbound vehicle died as a result of the collision.
Perez was taken into custody and charged with intoxicated manslaughter with a vehicle. Investigators continue to examine the circumstances leading up to the crash.
