Dallas police are investigating a fatal pedestrian crash that claimed the life of 23-year-old Aya Knox early Saturday morning.
The collision occurred around 4:40 a.m. on Elm Street at Field Street, when an SUV struck Knox and trapped her underneath the vehicle. Fire-Rescue personnel used airbags to lift the SUV and free her.
Knox was taken to a nearby hospital, where she later died. The driver stayed at the scene and is cooperating with authorities. Police continue their investigation.
