A pedestrian was killed Friday evening in San Marcos when a Honda minivan struck Benshan Frankte Robinson, 27, of San Diego.
Deputies reported the collision occurred around 7:50 p.m. on West Mission Road near Palomar College. Robinson was found in the roadway and pronounced dead at 8:15 p.m. The minivan driver stayed at the scene. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
The San Marcos Sheriff’s Station Traffic Unit is handling the case.
