Authorities are investigating a fatal single-vehicle crash in Fontana that left two passengers dead and one injured Saturday night.
According to police, a Hyundai Elantra driven by a 22-year-old man veered off Augusta Drive near Seminole Way at about 9 p.m. and struck a tree near Sierra Lakes Golf Course.
Bernardo Lopez, 29, of Corona, was identified as one of the deceased passengers.
A second 23-year-old passenger also died, while another was taken to a hospital with injuries.
The driver was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence as the investigation continues.
