Police in Oakland are investigating a fatal pedestrian accident that killed 72-year-old Billy Grant Sunday evening.
According to authorities, Grant was struck by a vehicle driven by a 21-year-old woman from Berkeley at about 6:29 p.m. on Claremont Avenue near College Avenue. Grant was taken to the hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
The investigation remains ongoing as officials work to determine the circumstances surrounding the collision.
