Authorities are investigating a fatal solo-vehicle crash that occurred Wednesday afternoon in Congress Township and resulted in the death of a Northmor High School student.
According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, a 1999 Ford Ranger pickup truck was traveling east on Morrow County Road 59 at about 2:53 p.m. when it left the roadway near Morrow County Road 56 and collided with a tree.
Fourteen-year-old Bobby Singh of Bellville, who was riding as a passenger, died at the scene. The 16-year-old driver sustained injuries and was taken to OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital.
Troopers continue to examine the circumstances surrounding the crash.
