A Simi Valley man lost his life early Saturday in a single-vehicle accident in the Santa Clarita community of Saugus.
Officials identified the victim as 55-year-old Brad Whitley. Authorities said a truck he was in left the roadway and hit a pole near David Way and Bouquet Canyon Road just before 7 a.m.
Emergency crews responded but sadly pronounced Whitley deceased at the scene. Investigators are working to determine the cause of the crash.
