A fatal collision on the New York State Thruway Monday evening led to the death of a Fort Plain woman and left multiple individuals injured, New York State Police reported.
According to troopers, Braylynn Fahy, 30, was merging onto the westbound Thruway near Exit 24 when her Chevrolet Traverse crossed the roadway and entered the path of an oncoming 2025 Cadillac Escalade. The vehicles collided, injuring four people in the Escalade.
Fahy and her passengers were transported to Albany Medical Center, where she later died. Four individuals in her vehicle sustained injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
