Authorities are investigating a fatal motorcycle crash that occurred Wednesday evening in Woodcrest and left one man dead.
The California Highway Patrol said Brent Hoquist, 35, of Corona, was riding a Yamaha motorcycle eastbound on Van Buren Boulevard near Gardner Avenue at approximately 5 p.m. when a westbound Dodge SUV attempted a turn and collided with his motorcycle.
The impact threw Hoquist from the bike. Emergency responders arrived and pronounced him dead at the scene. The SUV was driven by a 24-year-old woman from Riverside.
Officials said the investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing.
