Authorities say a bicyclist identified as Bruce Edward Hall Jr., 32, died Friday morning following a collision with a Bakersfield Fire Department vehicle near Union Avenue and 4th Street.
Police said the crash occurred around 10 a.m. and involved a BFD Arson Investigator who remained at the scene after the collision. Hall was rushed to Kern Medical, where he later died from his injuries.
The accident remains under active investigation by the Bakersfield Police Department and the Kern County Coroner’s Office.
