California Highway Patrol officers are continuing to investigate a fatal two-vehicle collision Friday night in Littlerock that claimed the lives of four people, including 22-year-old Bryan Vargas.

According to investigators, Vargas was a passenger inside an Infiniti G35 sedan traveling eastbound on Mount Emma Road near 77th Street East shortly before 6:40 p.m. Authorities said the Infiniti crossed into oncoming traffic and collided with a westbound Honda Pilot SUV.

The violent impact left Bryan Vargas and the 23-year-old Infiniti driver dead at the scene.

Emergency crews airlifted the driver and passenger of the Honda Pilot to Antelope Valley Medical Center in Lancaster for emergency treatment. Both later died from injuries sustained in the crash.

The collision happened south of Pearblossom Highway on a stretch of roadway known for winding conditions and limited visibility.

CHP investigators have not yet released the identities of the remaining victims and continue to work to determine all factors that may have contributed to the crash.
