
Authorities are continuing to investigate a fatal early-morning crash that left four people dead in Long Beach, including Caleb Gainer.
Officials said the wreck happened at approximately 1:20 a.m. along southbound Lakewood Boulevard near the tunnel beneath Long Beach Airport. A 2008 Honda Accord carrying four occupants veered off the roadway and crashed into a concrete median before catching fire.
Three individuals were trapped inside the vehicle as it burned, while another victim was located outside the car. All four were pronounced dead at the scene. The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office identified one of the deceased as 22-year-old Caleb Gainer.
Police indicated that excessive speed and impairment may have played a role in the deadly incident.
