The California Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal head-on crash that injured Caleb Saenz and three others near Oakdale.
Preliminary reports indicate that a westbound Subaru sedan crossed into oncoming traffic on State Route 108/120 west of Kennedy Road around 2:56 p.m., striking an eastbound 2019 Tesla sedan. The Subaru driver died at the scene.
Four people in the Tesla suffered major injuries and were taken to Oak Valley Medical Center. Among them was 26-year-old Modesto resident Caleb Saenz. Authorities continue to examine whether impairment played a role in the collision.
