Authorities are investigating a fatal motorcycle collision that claimed the life of a 43-year-old Costa Mesa man Tuesday morning in Santa Ana.
Police identified the victim as Calvin Williams, who was riding eastbound on First Street near Center Street at about 7 a.m. when a car traveling beside his motorcycle reportedly changed lanes, causing the vehicles to collide.
Investigators said the force of the collision threw Williams from his motorcycle. Emergency responders arrived at the scene, but he was pronounced dead from his injuries.
Officials have not released further details about the driver involved as investigators continue to examine the circumstances surrounding the fatal crash.
