Ontario police and the California Highway Patrol are investigating a fatal multi-vehicle crash on the westbound 10 Freeway that claimed the lives of two people, including 26-year-old Carlos Soto of Montclair.
The crash occurred late Monday night near Fourth Street. Several others sustained injuries, though the extent of their injuries has not been released. Officials have not yet determined what caused the collision, which involved multiple vehicles, one of which was heavily damaged.
Investigators are reviewing vehicle damage, witness statements, and other evidence to determine liability.
