Cesar Amilcar Zuniga Ruiz, 23, of Los Angeles, died after being struck by a vehicle in a hit-and-run crash early Monday morning in San Juan Capistrano.
The Orange County Sheriff's Department said the collision happened around 12:30 a.m. on Highway 74, also known as Ortega Highway, near La Novia Avenue.
Authorities said Ruiz was struck by a vehicle allegedly operated by 85-year-old Anthony Konstantine Kalomas.
Ruiz was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Kalomas was arrested on suspicion of hit-and-run following the fatal collision.
