
A San Francisco woman died following an early-morning pedestrian collision in the city's South of Market district on June 3, authorities confirmed.
Emergency responders were called to the intersection of Brannan Street and Seventh Street at 5:31 a.m., where they discovered Cheryl Coleman, 61, unresponsive with fatal injuries. Despite efforts to save her, Coleman could not be revived and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver involved in the collision stayed at the scene and worked with police investigators. Officers found no evidence suggesting alcohol or drug impairment played a role in the crash.
The San Francisco Police Department has launched an investigation into the fatal incident. No arrests or charges have been announced. The public is asked to contact the SFPD with any information that may assist the ongoing investigation.
