St. Cloud police are investigating a serious two-vehicle crash Friday night that resulted in critical injuries and the arrest of a suspected impaired driver.
Police said an SUV entered opposing lanes of traffic on 5th Street North and collided with a minivan shortly before 10 p.m. The impact caused the minivan to ignite. The female driver of the minivan was hospitalized with serious injuries.
Christopher Otte, 32, of Avon, was taken into custody and booked into the Stearns County Jail. The crash remains under active investigation.
