
A passenger was seriously injured in a violent crash involving a speeding vehicle Wednesday in Sycamore Township, authorities said.
According to the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office, the crash occurred around 11 a.m. when a Toyota Corolla struck a Mercedes-Benz at the intersection of Montgomery and Galbraith roads. The Toyota was driven by Connor Walchle, police said.
After the initial impact, the Corolla veered off the roadway, struck a curb, became airborne, and crashed into several trees and two utility poles. The passenger was trapped inside the vehicle and required extrication before being taken to UC Medical Center with critical injuries.
Authorities said the investigation into the crash is ongoing.
