The California Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal hit-and-run accident that claimed the life of a scooter rider Sunday.
Officials said Danny Torrez II, 40, was traveling along Whittier Boulevard near Ferris Avenue when he was hit by a gray sedan. The driver did not stop and left the scene.
Torrez was pronounced dead following the crash. Authorities are asking for the public’s assistance as they attempt to locate the driver involved.
