Dallas police are continuing to investigate a fatal pedestrian crash that occurred Wednesday and resulted in an intoxication manslaughter charge.
According to investigators, a Chevrolet Camaro traveling on Stone Canyon Road sideswiped a truck and then struck a jogger in the Preston Hollow area. The pedestrian, David Allen, died at the scene from his injuries.
Authorities said the driver, identified as Jaylon Dews, contacted emergency services following the crash and admitted his involvement. He was subsequently taken into custody and charged.
The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the collision is ongoing.
