Authorities are investigating a fatal two-vehicle crash in Spring Valley that claimed the life of a 76-year-old man Saturday morning.
The collision happened just before 7:30 a.m. at Jamacha Boulevard and Pointe Parkway, near Sweetwater Reservoir. According to investigators, a sedan carrying David William Blaisdell collided with an SUV.
Blaisdell, a San Diego resident, was taken to a hospital with serious injuries and later pronounced dead. Information regarding additional injuries has not been released.
The California Highway Patrol continues to investigate the incident.
