A pedestrian was killed after being struck by a Metrolink train Tuesday evening in Lancaster, authorities say.
The Los Angeles Sheriff's Department identified the victim as 39-year-old David Santes.
According to officials, Santes was struck by the train at approximately 8:25 p.m. in the 42900 block of North Sierra Highway. He was pronounced dead at the scene by first responders.
The investigation into the accident is ongoing.
