Authorities are investigating a fatal pedestrian crash that claimed the life of a Barstow man Wednesday night.
Officials said Deneco McWilliams, 23, was struck by a vehicle on eastbound Interstate 40 near Interstate 15 around 9:50 p.m. Emergency personnel arrived but were unable to save him.
McWilliams was declared deceased at the scene. The California Highway Patrol is handling the investigation.
