Glendale police are investigating a fatal freight train collision that claimed the life of a 52-year-old man early Friday near the Ventura (134) Freeway.
According to authorities, Dennis Ricketts was struck by a freight train at approximately 2 a.m. near the intersection of San Fernando Road and California Avenue.
Emergency responders arrived at the scene, but Ricketts was pronounced dead due to the severity of his injuries.
Officials have not released additional information regarding the circumstances of the collision as the investigation continues.
