Marcus Loring, 39, was killed Tuesday in a crash caused by a suspect fleeing from police, authorities said.
The collision occurred at the intersection of Highland and Pepper avenues when 33-year-old Emanuel Ayala, driving a stolen Dodge Journey, ran a red light during a high-speed chase. Rialto police said speeds reached up to 100 mph during the pursuit involving three officers.
Loring was taken to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center in Colton, where he died. Ayala has been charged with vehicular manslaughter with gross negligence, felony evading resulting in death, and possession of a stolen vehicle.
