Authorities are investigating a fatal crash involving an electric scooter and a car that occurred Friday morning in Santa Rosa.
According to law enforcement, the collision happened shortly after 8 a.m. at Santa Rosa Avenue and El Portal Way. Eric Johnson, 61, of Rohnert Park, was traveling northbound on a motorized scooter when a Chevrolet Tahoe pulled from a business parking lot and attempted a left turn, striking the scooter.
Johnson sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. No additional injuries were reported.
The investigation remains ongoing.
