Esteban Ramon Renterian, 35, died Sunday morning after he was struck by a vehicle while crossing a roadway in Santa Ana, according to police.
The fatal pedestrian collision occurred at approximately 4:53 a.m. at Warner Avenue and Yale Street.
According to the Santa Ana Police Department, Renterian was crossing southbound at the intersection when an eastbound vehicle struck him.
Emergency responders transported Renterian to an area hospital following the crash. He was later pronounced dead.
The driver involved in the collision remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators, police said.
Renterian was a Bakersfield man, according to authorities.
