Motorcycle rider Evan Reed, 30, of Selma, died Monday in a crash with a garbage truck on South Temperance Avenue outside Selma, Fresno County.
Officials said Reed was traveling north when a garbage truck turned left in front of him. The motorcycle collided with the truck at approximately 1 p.m., and Reed was pronounced dead at the scene. The truck driver was uninjured but was evaluated at a hospital.
The California Highway Patrol continues to investigate the circumstances of the crash.
