Authorities are investigating a fatal multi-vehicle crash that left one man dead and several others injured early Sunday in Lancaster.
The California Highway Patrol said the crash involved four vehicles on the northbound Antelope Valley Freeway near 20th Street W at about 1 a.m.
George Avendano, 25, was identified as the victim. Five other individuals were taken to local hospitals, though officials did not disclose their conditions.
The cause of the collision remains under investigation.
