Authorities in Langlade County are investigating a fatal two-vehicle crash that occurred Wednesday night on U.S. Highway 45 in the Town of Antigo.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, Gina Marie Brunner, 45, of Wittenberg, died after the vehicles collided head-on near County Trunk Highway X at approximately 10:24 p.m.
Emergency crews responded to the scene and confirmed Brunner’s death due to the severity of her injuries.
A 25-year-old Antigo resident involved in the crash was taken to Aspirus Langlade Hospital for medical treatment. Officials have not disclosed further details about the individual.
Law enforcement agencies, including Antigo Police and the Coroner’s Office, assisted at the scene as investigators worked to determine the cause of the collision.
The investigation remains ongoing.
