Authorities are investigating a deadly pedestrian crash that occurred Thursday in a residential area of Chula Vista.
Officials said Gladys Sandoval, 57, was struck by a sedan in the 500 block of Moss Street shortly before 6 p.m. She was taken to a hospital for treatment but later died from blunt force trauma to the head, trunk, and extremities. The Medical Examiner confirmed Sandoval died nine days before her 58th birthday.
