Heather Mata Baldock, 48, of San Jose, died Sunday from injuries sustained when she was struck by a vehicle while walking near a roadway east of Campbell, according to the San Jose Police Department.
The pedestrian collision occurred July 18 at approximately 10:30 p.m. at N. Leigh Avenue and Patio Drive. Police said Baldock was walking outside a marked crosswalk when a silver Toyota Camry struck her.
Baldock was transported to a hospital with major injuries following the crash. She later succumbed to her injuries on Aug. 2, about two weeks after the collision.
The driver of the Toyota remained at the scene following the incident and cooperated with police, authorities said.
The San Jose Police Department is investigating the circumstances of the crash.
