Authorities are investigating a fatal crash that occurred early Sunday along the Harbor (110) Freeway in downtown Los Angeles.
Isla Solis Hernandez, 28, died in the crash, which involved three vehicles on the northbound lanes near the Third Street on-ramp, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The incident happened around 1:50 a.m. and caused one of the vehicles to overturn and ignite, creating a fiery scene on the freeway. Emergency responders arrived shortly after the crash and confirmed Hernandez died at the location.
Another woman involved in the crash suffered critical injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital. Investigators continue to examine what led to the collision.
