San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department deputies arrested an Apple Valley man Friday night after an alleged DUI-related crash that left another driver injured in Victorville.
According to investigators, 33-year-old Ivan Beltran was operating an SUV southbound on Amargosa Road shortly before 8 p.m. when the vehicle crossed the center line near Smoke Tree Road and entered the path of a northbound sedan.
The two vehicles collided head-on, causing significant damage. The sedan driver suffered injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.
Authorities said Beltran's SUV overturned during the crash sequence. Following an investigation at the scene, deputies arrested Beltran on suspicion of felony DUI.
Officials have not released additional information about the injured driver. The collision remains under active investigation by the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department.
