Jake Henry and Ryan Nicole Wiley were killed Saturday night in a head-on crash near Del Loma, Trinity County, officials confirmed.
The California Highway Patrol said the pair were passengers in an eastbound Chevrolet Impala when a westbound Jeep Grand Cherokee driven by 40-year-old Jose Adelaido Jimenez Garcia crossed into their lane around 7 p.m., causing a fatal collision. Garcia faces multiple felony charges related to the crash.
Authorities continue investigating the circumstances of the collision, including potential contributing factors such as alcohol consumption by the Jeep driver.
