A speeding Porsche struck and killed a bicyclist on July 11 along Skyline Boulevard in Woodside, the California Highway Patrol said.
The victim was identified as East Palo Alto resident Jakub Solovsky, 34.
Preliminary reports indicate the Porsche was traveling northbound on State Route 35 (Skyline Boulevard) at an excessive speed when the driver failed to negotiate a curve and crashed head-on into Solovsky, who was riding his bicycle southbound on the highway just before 11:30 a.m. Solovsky suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Porsche was not injured in the crash, officials said.
Authorities continue to investigate the collision.
